Drive it Day 2025

As a classic car enthusiast, I enjoyed a great day out in glorious sunshine on Drive It Day. This is a national event in which classic car owners take their beautiful cars for a run out to raise funds for the NSPCC.

In Leicestershire we hold the Rainbows Run in parallel with Drive It Day and this year’s event took place on Sunday 27 April.  It is organised locally to help raise funds for the Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough, starting and finishing at Stonehurst Farm, Mountsorrel.

I’d like to say thank you to all those who took part and all the marshals, as well as Gary Farnfield, Community Fundraising Manager, and his team of volunteers from Rainbows, who did such a great job. The Rainbows Hospice provides such incredible support to local families, so it was wonderful to be part of an occasion that supports them.
