Jewry Wall Museum

I had the honour of being in the receiving line to greet HRH The Duke of Edinburgh when he officially opened the revamped Jewry Wall Museum in Leicester.

It is a very impressive facility with interactive displays which allow visitors to explore the city’s fascinating Roman past.

Other dignitaries in attendance for the occasion were The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire Colonel Richard Hurwood, Professor Ivan Browne, The Lord Mayor of Leicester Cllr Teresa Aldred and Mayoress Libby Aldred, the City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby, and Philip Hackett, the General Manager of Leicester City Museums.
