National Rehabilitation Centre visit

The new National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) is a 70-bed purpose-built centre at Stanford Hall Estate near Loughborough. People who have experienced life-changing illnesses or injuries will be treated there. And I recently had the opportunity to look around the site ahead of its opening in a few months’ time. I visited with my  Consort Beth Cox and we were shown around by the Director of the NRC Miriam Duffy and Professor of musculoskeletal biology at Loughborough University Mark Lewis. It’s an impressive and awe-inspiring endeavour and when it opens it will be a world-class rehabilitation and research centre with links to local universities and industry. I’m looking forward to the day it opens its doors to patients, and I can only applaud the dedication and commitment of everyone working towards making that happen.
