Armed Forces Day

The Armed Forces flag was raised at County Hall to mark the start of Armed Forces Week.
Leicestershire’s Lord-Lieutenant, Mike Kapur OBE, CStJ lead the ceremony in what was the start of armed forces flag raising across the county.
The flag was flown until Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June, when Leicester hosted its annual Armed Forces Day parade.
The parade was led by the Pipes and Drums of the Seaforth Highlanders, and made up of serving military, reservists, veterans and cadets.
Stepping off from Belgrave Gate, near to the Haymarket car park, it made its way past the Clock Tower, onto High Street, and fell out in Jubilee Square.
A privilege to be asked to participate in both of these events
