Air Ambulance

I was proud to wear yellow – and break with centuries of tradition – to show my appreciation for our wonderful local Air Ambulance Service.

Along with the High Sheriffs from Rutland, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire, I visited the base of The Air Ambulance Services charity to hear more about the incredible work its crews carry out across our five counties.

To demonstrate our support for the charity, each of us swapped our white jabot (an integral part of the High Sheriff’s traditional dress) for one in the yellow of the local air ambulance helicopters.

We also pledged to use our influence to help the charity, which relies on voluntary donations, as best we can.
