Bright Hope House

Bright Hope House provides important and much-needed support for people with a life-limiting condition or one that means a reduction in the quality of their lives. It also supports their partners, families and carers. I was pleased to pay them a visit recently to find out more about their work and meet CEO Laura Mackie and her team. I saw for myself the wonderful support being delivered by the volunteers and staff at the centre in Swannington in North West Leicestershire, which opened last year. It provides a haven where a range of non-clinical, therapeutic, and social care services are offered, including day care, counselling, support cafes, befriending and bereavement support.
