Thousands came to enjoy the Defence Animal Training Regiment Open Day at Melton Mowbray. The opportunity was irresistible to see and meet the working animals, mascots and watch demonstrations by the team who work with and care for them.
Thank you to an incredibly hard-working team who put on a truly outstanding event with such a special family friendly, exciting and fun atmosphere. Fantastic to see the support of the local community and from the local police and other emergency services in the sunshine.
We were treated to a Battle of Britain Fly Past of the magnificent Lancaster.
It was a huge pleasure to attend and talk to so many people, thank you for your hospitality. I hope those retired animals looking for their next home found a family.
