Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Family Carol Service

The High Sheriff attended the Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Family joint Carol Service in Leicester Cathedral.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible work of the Police and Fire Service, volunteers, friends and families. The High Sheriff’s Police cadet Harvey was in attendance.  Revd Cannon Karen Rooms, Dean Designate of Leicester gave words of welcome and the Chief Constable, Rob Nixon provided a warm and informal welcome. Callum Faint, the Chief Fire Officer finished with words of thanks. The Right Reverend Saju Muthalaly, Bishop of Loughborough gave a memorable address.

We are immensely grateful for all the hard work the Police, the Fire Service, and the Emergency Services in serving our communities. It was lovely to meet families and friends, and former colleagues, whose support of those serving is so important.
