Inspector Lindsey Madeley-Harland invited the High Sheriff to Melton police station to meet the team and spend time with them on patrol.
I learnt so much about the challenges and rewards of the job and was privileged to see policing in action. I also saw how quickly the police cars could shift when residents called for help.
They are an incredible team and a credit to the police service. Melton and the huge surrounding area they cover is extremely lucky to have such dedicated and committed individuals at our service.
Your work is deeply appreciated by those people who rely on you in their time of need.
