North West Leicestershire Chairman’s Dinner in aid of Steps

The annual dinner of the Chairman of North West Leicestershire, Cllr Ray Morris, was held at the magnificent Staunton Harold Hall in aid of local charity Steps. Patron and Trustee of Steps, Rosemary Conley CBE, was also in attendance.

Steps is a specialist centre offering Conductive Education for children from birth to five years who live with motor learning difficulties and delays, including cerebral palsy and Downs. Based in Shepshed and founded 30 years ago, Steps helps children from across the East Midlands. Often achieving capabilities way beyond those expected when first diagnosed with their condition, Steps is a centre of excellence, hope and love and where lives are transformed, families are supported and where small steps lead to great strides.

There is no cost to the families and the charity works tirelessly to raise the £250,000 a year that it needs to offer their service. Having visited Steps personally, I have seen the dedication and skill of the staff who work tirelessly to transform the lives of the very special children who attend.
