The current High Sheriff's Cadet is Hollie Sanders.
Hollie is 16 years old and currently one of the Head Student’s at Ivanhoe School.
She will be sitting her GCSEs in May/June 2026 and once they are completed she plans to go to Loughborough College and sit A Levels in Criminology, Psychology and Law.
She aspires to join the Police Force, this is because she is inspired by how many women succeed in the police. She sees the impact policing can make on both individuals and communities and that is something that she deeply respects and would like to contribute to.
"Being given the opportunity to be the High Sheriff Police Cadet for Leicestershire means so much to me. I applied for this role for the responsibility that I will hold rather than the recognition"
The post of High Sheriff’s Cadet was introduced to provide assured and professional support for the High Sheriff and is a great opportunity for a Leicestershire Police Cadet to become part of the Shrieval team. The cadet will often be on hand to assist the High Sheriff at some of the visits and events across the County.
The programme enables youngsters to become more self-confident and outgoing. It should also benefit them academically and socially as they connect with local communities across Leicestershire.
