The High Sheriff attended the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Leicester and heard a very interesting and informative presentation by Dr Charles Pierce MBE on his and his wife’s 42 years in Vanuatu and their work in education.
We learned about the enormous amount of work behind his PhD that he had just received from the University of Leicester on the effectiveness of young people’s learning about resilience to climate change disasters in Vanuatu.
Everyone enjoyed learning about Dr Pierce’s work and the conclusions of his PhD and also about his and Barbara’s life in education in Vanuatu.
It was privilege to join group on this special evening. Thank you very much for such a warm welcome.
