Sue Young Cancer Support

More than 1,000 people are helped each year by Sue Young Cancer Support in Leicestershire and Rutland. I had the pleasure of visiting the charity, which is based in Leicester, for afternoon tea with volunteers, service users, staff and board members recently. It was an opportunity for me to find out about the incredible range of services the organisation delivers to cancer patients and their families and carers. I thanked them for their selfless work which makes such a positive difference to those they help. It was a delightful afternoon spent finding out all about the organisation and talking with them about the history and role of the High Sheriff.
