My Chaplain, Police Cadet & I visited the Mosque and had a very interesting inter-faith discussion and tour. We are hugely grateful for the warm welcome and to Resham Singh Sandhu MBE DL PBS FRSA for arranging the visit.

Rogation Sunday

Traditionally the day God was asked for a good crop, and the bounds of the Parish were walked or ‘beaten’. Followed by a feast! At Long Clawson Church with the High Sheriff’s Chaplain, Simon Shouler, we followed in our ancestors’ footsteps. Spot the Chaplain!

Loughborough CCF Annual Inspection

A memorable morning at the Grammar School under the searching gaze of inspecting officer Capt Chris Ansell RN. Opened by the CCF Corp of Drums, the entire Contingent was inspected to excellent musical accompaniment, before a tight Drill Competition, won by the RAF Section, and a riveting Field Gun Competition, won by the Army Section.…

Carpenter’s Arms

Inspiring visit to see Residential Help for Addiction in action, accompanied by Rev’d Simon Shouler, the High Sheriff’s Chaplain. The Carpenter’s Arms is recovering from a fire which could have put the whole Centre at risk. The work being done by the team to help the residents build new lives is inspirational!
