Lord Mayor of Leicester

Thank you to the Lord Mayor, Cllr Bhupen Dave, for his hospitality in the Lord Mayor’s Parlour, full of history and tradition. We had an excellent meeting.

Police Academy

Chief Inspector Mark Botte gave up his morning to show me the Leicestershire Police Academy where all the Force’s officers undergo initial, and continuing, training. Excellent level of detail, commitment & integrity on show. Thank you!

All Aboard

the Rutland Belle for the second evening of Osprey watching in aid of Warning Zone, the charity that teaches children to be safe and street savvy. Thank you to everyone who came and who made both evenings so interesting, successful and such fun. And to the Ospreys!

Armed Forces Day

A terrific parade of serving personnel, cadets & veterans marching past The King’s Representative, Lord-Lieutenant Mike Kapur to the skirls of the Seaforth Highlanders Pipes & Drums,. Followed by a moving Drumhead service in Jubilee Square, honouring all our Armed Forces. The RAF Cadets who laid out the drums were outstanding! Thank you to everyone…
