The Leicestershire High Sheriff Fund was established to support the local community and voluntary activities, now and in the future.
The Fund gives grants and/or gifts to charitable and voluntary groups in Leicestershire working to prevent crime, abusive or antisocial behaviour, and to relieve poverty including homelessness and debt advice.
The High Sheriff Fund depends on donations to the permanent fund to increase the amount of money available to award in grants. Each year, the current High Sheriff is encouraged to grow the Fund for the future.
The Leicestershire High Sheriff Fund is administered by registered charity Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation, which sets up and manages grant-giving funds for families, individuals, companies, national funders and the public sector, connecting them with a wide range of vital local charitable groups.
