I paid a visit to Wyggestons sheltered accommodation and residential care off Hinckley Road in Leicester recently. It was a welcome opportunity to meet the people who live and work there and I gave at talk about the history of the role of High Sheriff in Leicestershire which goes back more than a thousand years.
